This 8 hour private tour for the individual traveler and small groups is on Africa`s premier tour route along the beautiful Atlantic Coastline. It takes you to the mythical meeting place of the two oceans at Cape Point. You will take the incredible Chapman's Peak Drive on the way to Cape of Good Hope or, should there be heavy downpours, the scenic Constantia Forest Drive and the awesome Old Cape Road the alternate route is an option. Should you enjoy seafood, there are many places where you will indulge in this delicacy for lunch.
The tour includes a visit to Boulders Beach, the breeding place of the African Penguins. Return via Boye's Drive overlooking the stunning False Bay, the University of Cape Town and Grootte Schuur Hospital, known as the place where the first heart transplant was conducted in 1967.
You will be picked up at 9am and head for the Atlantic to have a beautiful view of Table Bay with Robben Island in the distance. Maiden's Cove is your first stop to have a look at the Twelve Apostles and the mind boggling view of Camps Bay and the beach down below with the upper Cable Station of Table Mountain in sight. When you arrive in Hout Bay, you will have the opportunity to take the ferry to Duiker Island (optional tour) to have close-up shots of the hundreds of Cape Fur seals on the island or you may just browse around between the many stalls at the craft market.
Weather permitting, the tour continues via Chapman"s Peak Drive. The alternate route is via the Constantia Forest with a stop on top of Boye`s Drive with stunning views of the holiday village of Muizenberg down below. The sight of the pristine beaches is something never to forget. This panoramic tour continues along the False Bay coast to the lovely town of Simonstown where you visit the rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Other optional visits could be Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or Groot Constantia Manor House.
Cape of Good Hope is the next stop. A 45minute scenic walk from Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point can be done, time permitting. There is also the possibility to take the funicular to the lighthouses (optional). The return journey takes you to Scarborough with mind blowing waves at "Misty Cliffs", a haven for the kite surfer. This is not all, the "Old Cape Road" takes you to a viewpoint where you have an outstanding view over Cape Town City. The drive back to the hotel is via the University of Cape Town and Grootte Schuur hospital. The latter known as the hospital where the first heart transplant was done in 1967 by Christiaan Barnard. Drop off back in Cape Town at approximately 5 - 5:30pm.
