Michael Esposito is co-founder and president of Beach.com, a global beach destination website. In this role, he is responsible for research and development, technology, strategy and future direction. As an Internet pioneer, Esposito has 14 years of experience in leveraging advanced technologies to create valuable commercial properties.
Esposito founded Advantage Media, a company that specializes in website design, website development, e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and information architecture. Advantage Media helps organizations leverage technology to create an effective Internet presence. Advantage Media owns and operates a portfolio of generic domain names and corresponding websites.
Coincident with the development of Advantage Media, Esposito founded Advantage Networks, a digital place-based media firm that experienced dramatic growth by leveraging its first-mover advantage established by securing early adoption by clients of its unique technology for content development and management from a central command and control center.
Steven DenkerCo-founder, Chief Operating Officer
Steven Denker is co-founder and chief operating officer (COO) of Beach.com, a global beach destination website, and is responsible for providing leadership and management of the company's internal operations, including the optimization of all operations in finance, IT, marketing, sales, customer service and account management.
Prior to Beach.com, Denker served as vice president, Business Development and Advertising Sales for Relocation.com where he was responsible for increasing the value of the site through revenue and profit growth, relevant business development partnerships, new business vertical development and overall strategic direction. This included negotiating and managing the company's current and new strategic relationships with leading real estate websites, media properties, aggregators and networks. In addition to expertise in online lead generation, display advertising, strategic integration and site implementation, Denker managed more than 90 strategic relationships with leading websites. He developed ancillary revenue streams through email campaigns, list management and advertising sales, created content strategies for SEO (search engine optimization) and contributed to the design and strategy of business and consumer communications. Denker led Relocation.com’s growing online media sales efforts, working closely with both agencies and advertisers.
Before Relocation.com, Denker was director of Sales and Partnerships for PRIMEDIA, Inc.'s Consumer Source division where he was responsible for all media sales, partnerships and specific buys as they related to the overall Internet and print strategy. This included the development and execution of relevant advertising and content partnerships across web properties and print publications. In this role, Denker also implemented ad serving networks and content management systems through all websites and created innovative marketing plans and executions as they related to site advertisers and partnerships.
Prior to PRIMEDIA, Denker was a senior account executive with The Coca-Cola Company, where he was responsible for implementing marketing and promotional initiatives across domestic and international markets that furthered the marketing asset strategy of the business. Previous roles at Coca-Cola included management of experiential concept development and creative execution for sports, entertainment and theme park properties. Denker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University and completed a mid-management certificate program from Georgia Tech’s Dupree College of Management.
Mark ScagliusoCo-founder and Chief Financial Officer
Mark Scagliuso is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Beach.com and is responsible for all phases of the financial operations of the company. Prior to his involvement with Beach.com and most recently, Scagliuso had his own consulting business, providing all phases of financial and management consulting, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and forensic accounting services to clients. Scagliuso is also the former executive vice president and Chief Operating and Financial Officer of OnePath Networks as well as the Antec Corporation (now Arris Interactive). Prior to joining Antec (Arris), he was executive vice president and Chief Operating and Financial Officer of Keptel, Inc. Scagliuso began his career at Ernst & Young and during his time there worked with such clients as RJR Nabisco, the New Jersey Devils Hockey Club, Becton Dickinson and TRW.
Scagliuso has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Accountancy from Rider University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Joseph EspositoChief Strategy Officer
Joseph Esposito is co-founder and chief strategy officer (CSO) of Beach.com, a global beach destination website, and is responsible for overseeing the long-term vision and execution of the company's business plan. Esposito brings over 38 years of experience managing the growth and profitability of technology companies to Beach.com.
Prior to Beach.com, Esposito served in a strategic advisory role to a couple of early stage medical technology companies and was a "C" level consultant for Insight Venture Partners, a private equity firm with more than 1.5 billion under management.
Esposito also held roles as president, chief operating officer (COO) and chief executive officer (CEO) of eResearch Technology, Inc. During his tenure as CEO, the company's market valuation grew from 27 million to a peak of 1.5 billion and received national recognition by Fortune magazine as the #2 fastest growing company in America. As President and CEO of DLB Systems, a Safeguard Scientifics company that developed clinical research software, Esposito successfully accelerated the growth of the company, while engineering the sale of the business to Premier Research Worldwide.
Esposito is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a degree in Management Sciences. He was awarded The Ellis Island Congressional Medal of Honor in 2002 for outstanding citizenship, individual achievement and encouragement of cultural unity.
