Beach Bucket List: Must See Hawaii Beaches

Hawaii, it's famous for having some of the most exquisite beaches in the world and once you visit any of these Hawaiian beaches on the Beach Bucket List you'll understand what all the hype is about.  There's a reason why so many beaches in Hawaii are can be found on top ten lists for just about anything imaginable including "Top Ten Romantic Beaches", "Top Ten Beaches for Family Fun", and "Top Ten Must See Beaches in the World."  No matter what top ten list you're looking at, it's almost guaranteed that a beautiful Hawaiian beach will be somewhere near the top!

Waikiki Beach

Located on the Hawaiian Island Oahu, Waikiki Beach is one of Hawaii’s most iconic beaches known as being one of the most vibrant resort areas of all the Hawaiian Islands.  Every hotel and vacation rental in Hawaii is located mere feet from the beach with even the furthest away locations only a few blocks from Waikiki Beach.  Of course, what Waikiki Beach is most known for above all is surfing!  Anyone who enjoys catching a wave must visit Waikiki Beach during some point in their life!

Wailea Beach

Once you’ve surfed till your heart’s content, consider a trip on over to Wailea Beach in Maui.  This beach is great for swimming and the sand just slips so gently between your toes.  Nearby resorts add to the excitement of Wailea Beach and provide accommodations with direct beach access so you can spend all day, and all night, at the beach. 

Kapalua Bay Beach

Also in Maui is Kapalua Bay Beach.  This beach is ideal for families who have children or for groups who wish to swim without all the heavy surf.  Kapalua Bay Beach is a pocket beach with calm surf and currents that are manageable even for those who are not avid swimmers.  While there’s not a whole lot of adventure seeking going on here at Kapalua Bay Beach, small children will have a blast playing in the sand and splashing in the warm waters of this Hawaii beach.

Hookipa Beach

This is a definite must visit beach for those who love popular watersports such as windsurfing or just surfing in general.  Hookipa Beach is actually considered one of the best places in the entire world for windsurfing and it’s also the location where two major competitions are held.  Strong surf and currents make this beach not the best when it comes to those who are not expert swimmers but if you’re looking for a beach in Hawaii for an adventurous windsurfing vacation then Hookipa Beach is the place for you!

Panalu’u Beach

Located on the Big Island, Panalu’u Beach is one of Hawaii’s numerous black sand beaches and a true must see.  The palm trees and other vegetation along the coast look so lavish and bright against a backdrop of black sand.  You’re likely to see sea turtles and other neat marine life if you snorkel at Panalu’u Beach and even if you’re not up for swimming, this beach is the perfect vacation destination to simply sit back and enjoy the scenery.
