Bora Bora Hotels Travel Guide

Welcome to the Bora Bora Hotels travel guide.

Bora Bora offers an extensive range in lodging options including a wide variety of large to medium sized luxury resorts and simpler downtown hotels.  Bora Bora has the perfect accommodations to suit your budget and needs, from plush lagoon-side resorts, to hidden guesthouses of the interior and even quiet family pensions.  Lodging ranges from the large and medium resorts with overwater bungalows to simpler hotels with garden bungalows and standard rooms.  The island also offers visitors places to stay if you're on a tight budget, including motels, low-budget pensions, and campgrounds.

The high-end resorts and hotels within Bora Bora can offer visitors five star accommodations with numerous amenities, exemplary service, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.  These are the places to stay when you want to be pampered, waited upon at request, live the life of luxury, and basically have your every whim catered to.  Some of the more exquisite hotels and resorts offer overwater bungalows with access to fitness centers, swimming facilities, and steam rooms.  These luxury accommodations can provide you and your family with lasting memories of an unforgettable Tahitian vacation.

The mid-range accommodations of Bora Bora vary considerably.  Some are still very luxurious, although slightly less so than the high-end lagoon-side resorts.  Many are also not so lavish, but what you'll save in dollars may end up being worth the trade-off.  They range from hotels and motels to what the French Polynesians call "Pensions" which are basically family run operations, often with family-style services.  Since the majority of places to stay on all the Tahitian islands consist of these mid-range lodging options, you may see a big difference in quality, services, and facilities offered between them.

The budget accommodations in Bora Bora may offer fewer amenities, but just because its budget doesn't mean it isn't a great place to stay.  Backpackers, scholars, long term travelers, and campers love these wonderful places.  These lodging options are often simple bungalows, cottages, or rooms utilizing communal style bathrooms, kitchens, and showers.  Many of these low budget pensions are among the best places to stay on all the islands of French Polynesia due to their "family touch."  They are the best places to have personal contact and connect with the islanders, which most people will find very satisfying.
