Bora Bora Restaurants Travel Guide

Welcome to the Bora Bora Restaurants travel guide.

Bora Bora dining can be divided between the restaurants at the various hotels and pensions, and private, non-hotel related dining.  Cuisine ranges from basic island staples like fruits and fish dishes to world class French and international cuisine, prepared by a variety of chefs, some imported directly from Paris.  As with all islands in Tahiti Polynesia, the food is usually delicious, but you may have to sample different restaurants before you find one that suits your taste and budget.

The open-air settings of the Bora Bora resort restaurants match the tranquil mood of the island while capturing the enchanted tastes of the Polynesian, International, and French cuisines.  These resort restaurants provide visitors with beautiful views of the lagoon, while offering fine dining experiences featuring rich culinary choices created by famous chefs.   Many of these Bora Bora restaurants feature local seafood and exotic flavors with a French flair.

You can also enjoy a private or group picnic on your own motu, which is a tiny islet in the lagoon.  Your resort or cruise ship can provide you with an unforgettable experience where gourmet meals are prepared and enjoyed on a table set either under a coconut tree or in the warm, shallow waters along the beach or at sunset.  This is the perfect way to wind down and enjoy a meal with you better half, after a long day of exploring or just relaxing.

If you are on a budget or want to get into some local flavor, there is an abundance of good food to be had from ‘les Roulottes’, which literally means “rolling food trucks”.  The roulettes are licensed food trucks offering a variety of low-priced but fresh and well prepared dishes.  However, this is dining on island cuisine, amongst locals, other tourists, airline crews, and whoever else ends up here.  Here the sights are almost as good as the food specialties.
