In recent years, there’s been a significant increase in book events, from literary festivals to a resurgence of book clubs, library-themed wine bars, BookTok, Bookstagram, and more.
In fact, Eventbrite revealed a 35 percent rise in attendance in the U.S.
Not surprisingly, literary tourism, or travel inspired by books, is also becoming a popular trend. It allows readers to enjoy a travel experience that includes immersing themselves in their favorite pages while connecting to destinations in a unique way.
Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort has found a way to help cater to that demand by debuting an experience partnership with Book + Bottle, a combination bookstore/wine shop/wine bar based in St. Petersburg, Florida.

While we featured some of the best beach destinations for book lovers last fall, we can certainly add the city of Clearwater to that list as a highly desirable spot on the Gulf Coast. It’s renowned for its stunning white powdery sands, calm turquoise waters, and spectacular sunsets. And now, we can add a resort with the locally owned Book + Bottle bookstore right on-site in addition to its new unique literary-focused amenities.
Books and Beach Views
Not only does the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort have the Book + Bottle bookstore in its lobby, with more than 50 different titles available for purchase, but guests will receive 10 percent off their purchases. But it goes well beyond that, with delivery of books right to the pool or the beach, and a new selection of room amenities. That includes curated wines chosen by the Book + Bottle sommelier, a custom tote bag, a rotating Book of the Month, a bookmark, a notebook, locally inspired treats, and even a voucher for specialty coffee.

More to Enjoy at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach
Of course, the resort has plenty to offer beyond the books as a beachfront hotel with breathtaking views of the Gulf, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the marina. Those stellar vistas can be enjoyed right from your room, and if you book a suite, you’ll have a balcony for enjoying them with the fresh, salty sea air.
The property also has a lavish, full-service spa, a heated outdoor pool and whirlpool, and a fitness center. Plus, the resort fee includes an umbrella and two beach chairs for your time on the sand. Dining is impressive too, from the casual poolside bar and grill to upscale dining on Asian-fusion fare featuring locally sourced ingredients at the Ocean Hai.
