2026 Honolulu World Ocean Day Beach Cleanup

2026 Honolulu World Ocean Day Beach Cleanup

Join the Honolulu Beach Cleanup on June 6, 2026

In honor of World Ocean Day, Beach.com invites you to take action and help protect our shores at the Kalama Beach Cleanup. Our mission is to inspire travelers and coastal communities to care for the places we love, and this global day of ocean conservation is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.

As we help travelers discover the best coastal stays, we remain committed to preserving the beauty and health of our oceans. Our beach cleanups bring together volunteers, ocean advocates, and community leaders to remove harmful debris and raise awareness about plastic pollution. By joining us, you’ll be part of a movement to keep our beaches clean and our marine life safe—one piece of trash at a time.

Meet Your Cleanup Captain

Karissa Mauro with Eco Mermaid Conservation
My name is Karissa and I founded my nonprofit, Eco Mermaid Conservation, where we clean beaches and trails across the Hawaiian islands. I started my organization because I realized I could be bitter about all the pollution, or become a part of the solution. So I chose to get involved and make a change one piece of trash at a time.
