The travel experts at Skyscanner recently revealed a new interactive tool called “The Paradise Guide” to meet the needs of those craving a beach escape but aren’t sure where to go. Why did no one think of it sooner?
Now, you can easily find your perfect beach match based on your personal preferences, budget, travel style, and any plans you might already have in place. To create the guide, Skyscanner compared more than 100 different beaches around the world on metrics such as beach types, the best months to visit, activities, amenities, safety, and weather.
Try out the new interactive tool for yourself to see what your ideal match is, or perhaps consider planning a trip around one of the highest-ranked stretches. The beaches were also analyzed to determine the world’s best and the world’s most underrated. Beach.com recently revealed its own world’s best list, providing even more stellar options for easier planning.

World’s Best Beaches
Baía do Sancho in Brazil was ranked No. 1 in the world with over 8,000 TripAdvisor reviews and a perfect rating of 5, according to Skyscanner data. The secluded stretch of pale golden sand is lapped by crystal-clear water that ranges in shades from bright turquoise and sky blue to deep emerald green. As it can only be reached by boat, it’s the “epitome of a remote paradise,” as Skyscanner notes.
Eagle Beach ranked high on both Beach.com and Skyscanner lists, thanks to its pristine chalk-white sand, Easter-egg-blue waters, iconic Fofoti trees, and impressive reviews.

Most Underrated Beaches
Those who prefer to avoid the hotspots might want to consider one of the most underrated beaches. Embleton Bay in Northumberland, England came out on top with a nearly perfect score of 4.9 out of 5. It’s known for its wide crescent of unspoiled golden sands and clear water for swimming. It also boasts a stunning backdrop of the ruins of 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle. It’s one of the most unpopulated and dramatic “hidden gem” beaches in the UK.
For a Caribbean treasure, head to Montserrat, the island sometimes called the “Emerald Isle,” with vibrant greenery and a rich Irish heritage. It’s home to Rendezvous Bay, the second-most underrated and the only white sandy beach on Montserrat. Access is via a steep .7-mile trail or by kayak from Little Bay, where rentals are available. It’s the perfect spot for a tranquil swim or snorkel, with abundant marine life just offshore.
