Hanalei Bay is not only one of the most stunning beaches I’ve seen during my travels across the globe, it’s often named as Kauai’s most beautiful beach. A two-mile crescent of soft, golden sands backed by waterfall-laced emerald mountains on the North Shore, it’s a must-visit for beach enthusiasts of all types.

What Makes It Worth Visiting

In the backdrop, lush emerald-covered mountains are often draped in mist, with as many as 23 waterfalls cascading down the sheer face of Mount Nāmolokama and neighboring peaks after heavy rains.
