Located at the heart of it all in Oranjestad, the Renaissance is a 556-room resort with renovated accommodations in two distinct settings, one of which is an adults-only option. A variety of onsite restaurants, a lively events calendar, fitness center and spa round out the offerings at this refined beachfront resort.
More Than Just Flamingos
A boat departs regularly from the resort’s lobby to the Renaissance Aruba Private Island, making it easy for guests to explore. In addition to the flamingos themselves, Flamingo Beach offers all the amenities you need, including a bar, restaurant, restrooms, chairs and towels. Out of respect to the flamingo population, which arrived on the island on their own to take up residence in the mangroves, children are only allowed at Flamingo Beach from 9 to 10 am each day. Bring quarters for the vending machine that sells food for the flamingos, and you might be lucky enough to feed one by hand.
How Non-Resort Guests Can Visit Flamingo Beach
Visitors who aren’t staying at the Renaissance are permitted to visit Renaissance Island by purchasing a day pass. Access is limited, however, to avoid overcrowding, and day passes cannot be pre-booked. If you aren’t staying at the Renaissance, you’ll need to visit the resort on the morning you wish to visit to inquire about availability.
