Miami, Florida

Miami might be known for its glitz and glamour, but it’s surprisingly budget-friendly for beach lovers in 2025. Affordable airfare and a highly walkable layout mean you can soak up the city’s vibrant culture, which includes must-see attractions like Little Havana, Wynwood Walls, and of course the iconic beaches, without draining your bank account.

Tampa, Florida

Tampa shines as one of the most affordable beach cities overall, boasting the cheapest vacation rental rates among large cities at just $314 for a two-night stay. Add in inexpensive airfare, beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, a booming food scene, and laid-back outdoor spaces like the Tampa Riverwalk, and you’ve got a getaway that’s as fun as it is affordable.

St. Petersburg, Florida

Just across the bay from Tampa, St. Petersburg (or as locals call it, “St. Pete”) offers visitors an unbeatable blend of affordability and charm. St. Pete has gorgeous beaches, a thriving arts scene, and some of the best waterfront parks in the state, all without the hefty price tag you might expect from a major beach destination.

Bonus: Hialeah, Florida

If you’re eyeing Miami but want to save even more, don’t overlook nearby Hialeah. This small city landed near the top of the rankings for the Cheapest Small City Beach Vacations in the US in the study. With vacation rentals averaging just $343 for a two-night stay and excellent walkability, Hialeah offers easy access to Miami’s famous beaches and nightlife without the Miami price tag. It’s perfect for travelers who want to stay close to the action while keeping costs low.
