2025 Fort Lauderdale Beach Cleanup

In honor of World Ocean Day, Beach.com invites you to take action and help protect our shores at the Fort Lauderdale Cleanup. Our mission is to inspire travelers and coastal communities to care for the places we love, and this global day of ocean conservation is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.

As we build our platform to help travelers discover the best coastal stays, we remain committed to preserving the beauty and health of our oceans. Our beach cleanups bring together volunteers, ocean advocates, and community leaders to remove harmful debris and raise awareness about plastic pollution. By joining us, you’ll be part of a movement to keep our beaches clean and our marine life safe—one piece of trash at a time.

The meeting point will be next to the permitted bathrooms, directly across from Bahia Mar Resort and just south of the public basketball courts. Please arrive by 8 am for a brief orientation and to collect your cleanup bag and t-shirt.

The FTL Beach Clean Up, spearheaded by The Local Octopus Foundation, is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship in Broward County. Our mission is to educate, advocate, and actively work towards the preservation of local beaches and waterways. In collaboration with the City of Fort Lauderdale, we strive to raise awareness and protect our oceans for future generations. Mission Statement: We foster environmental stewardship in our community through education and preservation of local beaches and waterways in Broward County.
