Beach.com invites you to take action and help protect our shores at the Henderson State Park Beach Cleanup. Our mission is to inspire travelers and coastal communities to care for the places we love, and this global day of ocean conservation is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.

Our beach cleanups bring together volunteers, ocean advocates, and community leaders to remove harmful debris and raise awareness about plastic pollution. Meeting Point
We will meet at the Henderson State Park parking lot. Please arrive by 9:00 am for a brief orientation and to collect your cleanup bag and t-shirt.

The beach has long been my favorite place, from the time I was a little girl visiting my dad’s family along the Atlantic coast, to an adult vacationing along the Emerald Coast. We moved here from Georgia two years ago. Since that time, I’ve learned so much about how critical it is to keep our beaches clean, not only for aesthetic purposes, but for marine life. Trash on the beach can interfere with turtle nesting, which is a crucial part of the eco system. I am proud to work for a company that makes volunteering in our community a priority, and would love to lead this initiative for our team to contribute to keeping our local beaches clean.
What to Bring
- Reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat and sunglasses
- Gloves of some sort
- Trash “grabbers” if you have some
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
Registration
To participate, please register below. During registration, volunteers will be asked to provide their t-shirt size to help us ensure appropriate supplies.
Additional Information
- Volunteers of all ages are welcome; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- To participate, every participant must review the waiver and register below.
- Community service hours can be certified for students upon request.
- In case of inclement weather, updates will be provided via email.
- We aim to provide the first 100 participants with a free event t-shirt. You must register at least 14 days before the event to receive one.
