Beach.com invites you to take action and help protect our shores at the Southgate Coastal Reserve Beach Cleanup in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our mission is to inspire travelers and coastal communities to care for the places we love, and this global day of ocean conservation is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.
As we build our platform to help travelers discover the best coastal stays, we remain committed to preserving the beauty and health of our oceans. Our beach cleanups bring together volunteers, ocean advocates, and community leaders to remove harmful debris and raise awareness about plastic pollution. By joining us, you’ll be part of a movement to keep our beaches clean and our marine life safe—one piece of trash at a time.

Meeting Point
We will meet at the beach across from Cheeseburgers in Paradise, heading East. Please arrive by 9:00 am for a brief orientation and to collect your cleanup bag and t-shirt.

The beach is more than scenery, it’s a part of our culture, our stories, and our identity. I care about the ocean because it connects us to who we are and sustains the community we love. This cleanup is a chance to give community members the opportunity to protect our home, to build pride through stewardship, and to see that caring for our environment is critical to our resiliency. Community service hours will be provided for any participating students. I’m inspired by the next generation of leaders who are ready to protect these places, for the future of our people and our culture!
What to Bring
- Reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat and sunglasses
- Gloves of some sort
- Trash “grabbers” if you have some
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
Registration
To participate, please register below. During registration, volunteers will be asked to provide their t-shirt size to help us ensure appropriate supplies.
Additional Information
- Volunteers of all ages are welcome; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- To participate, every participant must review the waiver and register below.
- Community service hours can be certified for students upon request.
- In case of inclement weather, updates will be provided via email.
- We aim to provide the first 100 participants with a free event t-shirt. You must register at least 14 days before the event to receive one.
