Calling all “White Lotus” fans—if you needed another excuse to experience the glamour of the French Riviera, well, you’ve got it. You may already know that Season 4 takes place in France, but now we’ve learned that it might include scenes filmed in Saint-Tropez on the Côte d’Azur.
Located along this stunning 550-mile stretch of Mediterranean coastline, the iconic seaside resort town is renowned for its glitz and glamour, drawing everyone from royalty to Hollywood A-listers. While browsing the high-end shops, you might even rub elbows with a supermodel, a famous athlete, or one of your favorite stars. Now, thanks to the hit HBO series’ upcoming season, you can even stay at the very hotel where the actors will be filming: the Airelles Château de la Messardière.
They’re expected to start shooting at this 19th-century palace-turned-luxe hotel by late April and continue through October. Cinematic in every sense, it sits on a hilltop between the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Bay of Pampelonne.

Staying Among Hollywood Royalty
If you’re interested in a stay here, not surprisingly, the lavish suites, called a “masterclass in Mediterranean chic” by Travel + Leisure, come with a steep price tag (we’re talking thousands of dollars per night). But for those who can swing it, it’s worth the cost. Balancing Old-World splendor with the ultimate in modern comforts, guests are whisked to the golden sands of Jardin Tropézina, the hotel’s chic beach club, by Rolls-Royce transfer. Even the children (and their parents) will be beyond excited, with a whimsical train that will take the little ones to the massive kids’ club with pony rides, a mini-farm, arcade games, a music center, and more.
After a day soaking up the sun, take advantage of the blissful spa with an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, and a menu of pampering treatments. Of course, dining impresses too, from decadent breakfasts with fresh-baked pastries to chef Nobu’s Japanese-Peruvian fare, enjoyed on a sea-view terrace.
Beyond the Grand Château
For those who find the château’s rates a bit out of their budget, it’s still possible to stay in Saint-Tropez and perhaps even enjoy a lucky encounter with one of the White Lotus stars. There are better-priced accommodations available, particularly around the outskirts of town that won’t break the bank, such as converted farmhouses tucked into the countryside and relaxed hotels with comfortable, stylish rooms within a 10-minute walk of the Saint-Tropez city center.

The Beaches
No matter where you spend your nights, the best beach for celebrity sightings in Saint-Tropez is undisputedly Pampelonne, known for its A-lister parties, DUs, VIP service with ever-flowing Champagne, and glamorous crowds. It’s home to famous beach clubs like La Voile Rouge, Club 55, and Nikki Beach. Tahiti Beach is a good alternative, with historic charms and old-school glamour, as well as being frequented by the stars.
