The 9 Most Instagrammable Spots in Nassau

Did you really go on vacation if you don’t post a perfectly posed Instagram shot to your feed? We’re not sure either.

Luckily, taking a trip to Nassau guarantees picture-perfect scenes and like-worthy posts.

Wondering where to grab those Instagram-worthy photos on your trip? Located on Paradise Island, Nassau is full of photo ops, but we’ve scouted out the best of the best. From world-famous Atlantis to the secluded beaches dotting the island, these nine spots are some of the most photogenic in Nassau and certainly the most recognizable. Stop at any or all of them to curate a feed that’s sure to keep your followers happy (and maybe a little bit green with envy).

1. Atlantis

Did you really to go Nassau if you don’t get a photo with Atlantis in the background? There are photo-worthy scenes all over this sprawling resort. From the indoor aquariums to the lush tropical paths, almost anywhere you stop at Atlantis, Paradise Island is worthy of a photo op. If you want a more action-packed option, how about a daring drop down the Mayan Temple? Or, if you want to go the low-octane route, explore pastel-colored Marina Village or the plentiful coves and lagoons around Atlantis until the right angle catches your eye.

2. Bahamas Barrels Winery

Opened within the last year, Bahama Barrels winery at Graycliff Hotel—the first winery in all of the Caribbean—is an array of bright colors and paradisaical vibes. The winery also offers hanging swings, group gliders, a conch shack, and more to make your Instagram posts really pop. Add in a wine blending class and you have all the right ingredients for the best Boomerang that smartphones can capture. After snapping way too many photos of the rainbow-colored exterior, become a wineaux for the day and pour, cork, and name your unique blend for a one-of-a-kind souvenir from Nassau.

3. Clifton Heritage National Park

Clifton Heritage National Park is located off the beaten path—on the far western tip of Providence Island—and rewards visitors with pristine beaches and an awe-inspiring underwater sculpture garden. Explore the rocky trails and you’ll also encounter other props to stage the ideal Instagram photo: think beach bar with fruity rum drinks, rope swing on the beach, and plenty of tropical foliage. Another plus: Clifton Heritage National Park is home to Jaws Beach, where the final movie in the “Jaws” series was filmed. The water is shallow and clear, providing a great spot to pose or just kick back and unplug. And don’t worry: the chances that you’ll spot a Great White Shark in these warm Caribbean waters are impossibly slim!

4. Food Tour

Take a food tour in Nassau for a bite into Bahamian culinary culture and strike a pose with a Planter’s Punch or a bit of Tortuga rum cake. A food tour like Tru Bahamian Food Tours provides the perfect way to showcase local eats on your feed while exploring the streets of downtown Nassau on foot. Plus, walking tours provide a great way to get up close and personal with the sights and smells of any exotic locale. Prepare to dine on Bahamian favorites like peas and rice, Johnny Cake, bush tea, and conch in any of its forms.

5. Private Island at Sandals Royal Bahamian

Ever dreamed of posting one of those dreamy tropical photos lounging in a hammock suspended over crystal-clear waters and becoming the envy of your followers? Sandals Royal Bahamian’s private island, located a half-mile off the shore of the resort, gives you a chance to do just that. Visitors and guests of the resort can take a short ferry ride to the palm tree-dotted island and enjoy a seaside lunch, picturesque views, and a wide selection of romantic hammocks, swinging chairs, beach lounges, and more for a postcard-worthy photo depicting utter tropical bliss.

Welcome to the Graycliff Hotel ✨ Three centuries worth of stories are tucked away here in the property’s countless sun-dappled nooks, amid lush greenery, in the hearts of those who keep this place alive. Al Capone was the owner once…Beyoncé and Jay-Z met here…there’s a funny story about Prince Charles scaling a wall late one night…this place has seen so much. I had the pleasure of dining with the current owner and touring his private wine collection—the third largest in the world. Dinner at the Graycliff was one of the most memorable of my life. Nassau is such a special and historical little Caribbean gem 💚 — #nassau #itsbetter #instaparadise #bahamas #graycliff #graycliffhotel #graycliffrestaurant

6. Graycliff Hotel

The famed Graycliff Hotel is the perfect place to add a story of your own to the centuries of history contained within these enchanting walls. This historic hotel dates back to 1740 and is home to one of the first five-star restaurants in the Caribbean. The grounds house gardens and plenty of palm trees, and there’s also an on-site chocolatier, cigar factory, poolside bar, and Brazilian steakhouse. With charming alcoves and an iconic painted pool, Graycliff Hotel provides the perfect backdrop for striking social media shots. And here’s a fun fact to share in your caption: Beyoncé and Jay-Z met at this very place.

7. Dean’s Blue Hole at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Pool

Have you been hoping to capture a thrilling action shot, maybe something like cliff jumping into a Bahamian blue hole… but from the comfort and convenience of a luxurious resort? At Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, your wish is their command. A replica of the famous Dean’s Blue Hole was constructed at Baha Mar with a 15-foot jump-off spot and a hidden waterfall cave to boot. After getting the perfect mid-air capture, explore the pool grounds and you’ll also find a grotto filled with sharks, turtles, and rays; themed food trucks; and colorful striped “changing tents” on the beach that make for amazing Instagram shots.

8. Spa at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort

The legendary Ocean Club is a ritzy hotspot for the rich and the famous (and the Instagram famous, too). Every inch of the perfectly manicured grounds offers up a breathtaking backdrop for languishing in the lap of luxury, but the spa at The Ocean Club is a beauty all its own. Book an appointment in this private oasis and you’ll feel as if you’ve left the Caribbean and stepped foot in an Indonesian jungle. The spa villas are secluded and serene, and best of all? No filter needed.

9. Straw Market

It’s not a visit to Nassau without bargaining your way through the straw market. At this colorful and crowded shopping venue, you’ll meet local artisans and souvenir sellers hawking their wide variety of wares. Think locally crafted straw goods and wood carvings galore (which, by the way, make ideal props for a cute candid shot). Get lost wandering the crowded aisles of the straw market until you find just the right tchotchke tokens to take home to your envious friends and family.
