Cancún’s Best Spas

Cancún has mastered many vacation activities, and spa treatments are no exception! After all, is it even a girls’ trip without some serious pampering?

Be sure to find a venue for a spa day, or maybe two—one to prepare you for the trip (think pedicures, manicures, facials and wraps) and another to prepare you for getting back to the daily grind (a long group massage). If you decide to stay at the Le Blanc Resort Spa, you will have this covered as their spa is known as one of the finest in Cancún.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya Spa

Grand Velas Riviera Maya Spa is over 89,000 square feet of pure relaxation. It offers everything from Ancient Mayan healing therapies to neuroaromatherapy and Thai Massage. It is ideal for those staying close to Playa del Carmen as it is situated only 10 minutes away.

Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya Spa

Located in the little town of Puerto Morelos, just 11 miles from Cancún is the 22,000 square foot Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita Riviera Maya Spa. Currently, it is the only spa with a Thalassotherapy (sea water therapy) center in North America. Let the ocean’s minerals heal you from the outside in at this one-of-a-kind spa. To make the most of your day trip to Puerto Morelos, head to the beach club Unico Beach after your spa treatments for a margarita on the beach or a swing in one of its many swing chairs at the bar.

Kayanta Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Cancún

Is there anywhere on earth The Ritz-Carlton isn’t phenomenal? Not in our experience.

On its website, the Kayanta Spa Ritz-Carlton, Cancún explains that the spa name “Kayanta” refers to the Mayan phrase “ká a yaántah” which means to be reborn. Kayanta Spa offers a Mayan sanctuary ritual, warm stone massage, facials and more. It is located in the Hotel Zone, making it a convenient option if you are staying at another resort there.

Nightlife in Cancún

Even though those all-inclusive deals make it awfully tempting to never leave the hotel, you and your girlfriends are likely to go out at some point to try some of the local bars and restaurants. You’ll have loads of options, but sharing a very special meal at famed Cancún lobster house, Lorenzillos, shines above the rest. Offering great waterfront dining, Lorenzillos is the ideal spot to kick off, or wrap up, the perfect girls’ getaway.

Of course, going out isn’t all about the food. After your day is through, you’ll want to take in the Cancún nightlife, which runs the gamut from buzzy clubs to laid-back bars. For a casual drink or bite, The Blue Gecko and Las de Guanatos are local favorites—where steaming plates of freshly made Mexican food join refreshing mojitos and micheladas at always-lively tables. If you feel like it, or if one person in your party just has to, hit up one of the all-night clubs, like the popular Mambocafé.
