Watch a Gorgeous Caribbean Sunset from These Bars

Is there any experience in the world more relaxing than sitting back and watching a tropical sunset over the water with a cold drink in your hand? Quick answer: no, there’s not. Here are a few of our favorite spots in the Caribbean where you can do just that.

Rhythmns at Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted, St. Croix

Although this crowd-pleaser beachy bar and restaurant dubiously bills itself as the “original home of the lime in the coconut,” you will not be disappointed in their other claims of excellent food and drink, all in the company of phenomenal sunset views. With unobstructed beach front views, folks from all around the area flock to this popular sunset viewing spot in the evenings, so it may be smart to arrive a bit early, and post-up with a drink in your hand to get a good spot. Their frequent live music performances and tropical theme cocktails will also come in handy for your ultimate unwinding experience.

My Bar in George Town, Grand Cayman Island

My Bar, located in the same compound as the diving center at Sunset House, is an obvious place to check out the colors if you’re in the Cayman Islands. According to their website, “My Bar is a huge open-sided, thatch-roofed cabana with the largest, and at times the liveliest, outdoor bar in Grand Cayman.” Located right along the island’s western coast, on South Church Street, there is nothing between the bar’s patrons and the sun setting over the Caribbean Sea.

Shipwreck Beach Bar on St. Kitt’s Island

Although St. Kitts (also known as Saint Christopher’s Island) is slightly lesser-known than some more popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean Sea, they certainly don’t skimp on sunsets there. For an unforgettable sunset spent with a drink in your hand, head to Shipwreck Beach Bar located smack dab on the coast of South Friar’s Bay. In addition to icy cold tropical beverages and yummy Caribbean-style food, the bar offers patrons free beach loungers and sun beds where they can relax and watch the view.
