St. Lucia is one of the most mountainous islands in the Caribbean, and Anse Chastanet Resort puts you right in the middle of it. It’s the only resort on the island with a view of both the Piti and Gros Piton mountains. Amenities include free WiFi, free parking, twice-daily yoga classes in a beachfront pavilion and a spa with indoor and outdoor treatment areas.
Thirty-seven of Anse Chastanet’s rooms are scattered along the lush hillside, and the remaining 12 are in a beautiful garden at beach level. Some hillside rooms have open fourth walls, while others feature wooden louvre walls that open onto balconies or patios. The six different room categories also include the Piton Pool Suite, where guests can enjoy a 160-square-foot private pool while taking in a spectacular view of the Pitons.
Five restaurants are on-site and available to guests. Have an elegant breakfast or dinner at the Treehouse, vegetarian cuisine at Emerald’s and enjoy beachfront dining at Trou au Diable and Jungle Grill. Spread out over 85 acres with a mile-long beach and five pools, there’s plenty of room to do exactly what you want—even if that’s nothing at all. A series of four-story buildings house the resort’s 250 rooms—there aren’t many neighboring properties nearby and it doesn’t feel as touristy as other resorts on the island.
Most rooms come with one king or two queen beds, contemporary décor, furnished balconies and every room faces the grounds, pool and ocean. Splash Premium Ocean View and Concierge Premium Ocean View Suites have one king and two trundle beds, or two queen-size beds and a sofa. Hideaway at Royalton is a resort within a resort, as it’s the adults-only section of the Royalton St. Lucia. While Hideaway guests can take advantage of everything at the main resort, they have their own exclusive infinity pool, beach bar, beach area and an upgraded room service menu.
Guests at Hideaway have access to all of the main resort’s dining options, and the nine on-site restaurants provide plenty of variety in both cuisine and ambiance. International, Tex-Mex, Japanese, Italian, Calypso, a steakhouse and a sports bar & lounge are among the options. For an extra fee, the C/X Culinary Experience is a chef-guided tour through seven different courses, each accompanied by its own music. Windjammer Landings’ 330 rooms are spread out over the resort.
